Should you hire employees or independent contractors? This is a question I get asked all of the time. Our company is made up of a small but mighty team including myself, my husband Paul, our video/podcast editor, an email marketing specialist and a marketing manager.
We have a mix of independent contractors and employees and in this podcast I’m sharing my insights and best practices for building a team.
Lessons learned:
• There are pros and cons to both independent contractors and employees.
• Regardless of whether they are an independent contractor or an employee, make people feel like they're a part of a team.
• Treat people right.
• Be clear with your expectations.
• Be consistent.
